The guest accommodation is mostly in the North area, a large family or group house solidly constructed, builders working for us have advised the joists, beams are heavy thick hardwood, the floors have been replaced, and mostly new tiles with some areas new lino installed. The bathroom which has 2 entrances, one private ensuite style from the queen bedroom. There is another bedroom with 2 bunk beds, and in another room is a futon, pull out double bed. This bathroom has just been fully renovated.  The kitchen also has had renovations done. There is a large lounge and sunroom with views through the aluminium windows of the beautiful bay. Just outside is a long covered patio with BBQ, table and outdoor chairs.

ALL of these houses have million dollar views.

Nearby the second North building is block and tile construction large motel style suit a family, queen bed, 2 single bunks, with ensuite. The glass topped table has antique refurbished gold chairs and walls painted to match, hence this is called our GOLD Room, our best room. Step outside the aluminium sliding door to a patio with outdoor table and chairs with those million $ dollar views over our beautiful bay all the way to North Mackay.

In the centre area is a large solid timber house, same large heavy hardwood joists and beams, with (2) two large queen or a king size bedrooms with room for extra beds. Down a few steps there are  single beds, this was  divided into two bedrooms, renovated bathroom, toilet.

Next to the large centre house is the Big Shed where many years ago dances were held.

This Big Shed now contains the new kitchen with commercial deep fryer and two stove/ovens,  a large 12 volt fridge and a 12 volt chest freezer, and another bar size near new fridge.  At the new sink there now is a filtered water tap for drinking water, hot water. Out from the new kitchen and bar is the new covered beer garden or dining area. Sit and enjoy a meal or drinks taking in those million $ dollar views of Homestead bay to the mainland.

At the rear of the Big Shed is the long full length workshop, tools, solar battery bank and large charger. There is a huge solid table in the centre area of the Big Shed we call the “Boardroom table”.  There is lots of room and cupboards in this Big Shed.

Nearby is the old caravan that a caretaker once lived in, now used for storage.

Next is the new cabin built by a team of 6 builders who also did other jobs and repairs. The cabin is suits a couple, add beds for two more adults or children, it also has million $ dollar views.

A storage shipping container has heaps of new and spare parts, electrical, plumbing, wiring.

ALL equipment is included in the sale, a 4WD articulated loader with forks and bucket.

The large generator shed has the Lister diesel generator about 11KVA with many spares.

A recently purchased 27.5 KVA generator 415 volts runs the nearby cold room, it powers the whole  area, all buildings with 240 volts. There are about 7 to 8 other diesel and petrol generators. More generators are in the smaller generator shed near, to power the South house independently if required.

Solar panels are on the roofs in each area, North, South and Centre buildings with battery banks. 12 volt lights back up the 240 volt system in the buildings.

There is a light plane service from Mackay to a nearby island, pick up by small boat.

BYO or hire a helicopter, helicopters land in the northern area, or cruise by boat from Mackay Harbour Marina. St Bees Island is 13 nautical miles NE from Mackay Marina.

WORLDWIDE ATTRACTION – St Bees Island has the most prolific, healthy KOALA population in Queensland. NO Chlamydia or predators.  There are NO dangerous or poisonous animals on St Bees Island, no cars.
